Wayne C. Anderson

Wayne C. Anderson, 85 of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away on May 7, 2024, at his home with his family by his side.

As Wayne requested, his body was cremated.  Family will greet friends from 1-2:00 P.M. on Friday, May 31, 2024, at Jacobsen-Greenway-Dietz Funeral Home in St. Paul.  A Celebration of his life will follow at 2:00 P.M. on Friday at the funeral home.  Inurnment will be in the Elmwood Cemetery in St. Paul.  Military Honors will be provided by the Carl Mogensen American Legion Honor Guard of St. Paul.

Wayne was born on November 14, 1938, to Clayton and Doris (Bucy) Anderson at home in Howard County, Nebraska.  He attended high school in Cushing and graduated from St. Paul High School in 1956.  He served in the United States Marines from 1956-1960.  After he was honorably discharged from the Marines, he lived in Long Beach, California and worked for Shell Oil until 1970.

Wayne had a degree in accounting from Eastern Washington University.   He was united to Victoria Miller on February 25, 1967, in Las Vegas, Nevada.  The couple later divorced.  He was united in marriage to Kathleen Hatcher on May 14, 2022, in Las Vegas. He lived in Seattle, Spokane, and Prosser, Washington before moving to Oregon in July of 1975.  He was the office/personal manager for Lamb-Westin Foods in Westin, Oregon.

Wayne enjoyed golfing, attending sporting events, listening to 50’s music and living the Vegas lifestyle.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife Kathleen, children, Brooke Kimber, Lee J., and Seth Bryson; brother and sister-in-law, Jay and Phylis Anderson of St. Paul; and sister-in-law, Donita Anderson of Dannebrog.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents; son, August Clayton Anderson; brother, David Anderson; and sister, Marian Fairbairn.
