Verna Van Arsdale, 91, of Central City died Thursday, October 20, 2016 at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 29 at Jacobsen-Greenway Funeral Home in St. Paul. Reverend Marcia Dorn will officiate. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery in St. Paul.
Visitation will be on Saturday, from 8:00 – 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to the family’s choice.
Verna was born October 14, 1925 in Grand Island to William and Iva (Meyers) Fredericksen.
Verna was baptized in the Lutheran Faith.
She was raised in Cushing and attended Cushing Schools.
Loving to travel, she traveled and worked in several states. She worked for 17 years at the Nursing Home in Fullerton until she was 78 years old.
Verna especially loved being with her family. Verna adored all children and she was very kind and loving to everyone. She also enjoyed the beauty of flowers.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, William and Marla Floyd of Las Vegas; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Melinda and Terry Reynolds of Fullerton, Cindy Conn of Central City, and Eileen and Gary Krahn of Boise, Idaho; eight grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; six great great-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Delbert and Mary Fredericksen; and a sister and brother-in-law, Eilene and Gene Ehrhardt.
She is preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter, Shannon Burtle; three sisters; and a brother.
