Thomas "Tom" Gregg

Thomas "Tom" D. Gregg, 78, of Gibbon died Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at his home surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday at Jacobsen-Greenway Funeral Home in St. Paul. The Reverend Tom Burkholder will officiate. Interment will be held in Hillside Cemetery in North Loup.

Visitation will be on Friday from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Jacobsen-Greenway Funeral Home in St. Paul.

Memorials are suggested to the family's choice.

Tom was born July 9, 1935 at Arcadia, Nebraska to Orville Charles and Fern Iola (Holmes) Gregg.

He was united in marriage to Deloris Dimmitt on January 15, 1955 in Sedalia, Missouri. The couple was blessed with five children.

For most of his life he lived around North Loup with his wife and children.

Ranching was his life long career.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing pool and fixing things with his family and friends. He loved anything with chocolate.

The last couple years of his life he lived in Gibbon with a special friend Juanita.

Tom is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Troy & Ann Gregg of Grand Island and Raymond & Dorothy Gregg of Scotia; two daughters & sons-in-law, Laurita & Galen Ackles of St. Paul and Karen & Carlos Fonseca of Ord; ten grandchildren and many great grandchildren; his ex-wife Deloris Gregg of North Loup; two brothers, James A. Gregg and Frank Gregg of Collins, MO; six sisters and brothers-in-law, Ramona & Glen Bredthauer of Hastings, Marilyn Richey, Naomi & Charles Martin, LaDawn & Jim Burson, Loqueta & Mike Stultz and Charlene Johnson all of Missouri; and a special friend, Juanita Szafrajda of Gibbon.

He is preceded in death by his parents, a son Leonard Dean Gregg, a brother Charles Gregg and an infant brother, David Gregg, and three sisters Alona Case, Audrey Bodenhamer and Colleen Johnson.
