Theodosia F. "Teddi" Spilinek

April 10, 1932 — July 19, 2013

Theodosia F. "Teddi" Spilinek, 81, of St. Paul died Friday, July 19, 2013 at Brookefield Park in St. Paul.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in St. Paul. The Reverend Ray Kosmicki will officiate. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. with a wake service at 6:30 p.m. at Jacobsen-Greenway Funeral Home in St. Paul.

Mrs. Spilinek will be cremated after the funeral service and a family inurnment will be held at a later date in the Bartlett Cemetery in Bartlett.

Memorials are suggested to the donor's choice.

Mrs. Spilinek was born April 10, 1932 in Grand Island to Felix and Edith (Doan) Geisinger.

Teddi was raised in Grand Island and attended Central Catholic Schools where she graduated in 1950. While attended school she worked in the office of the Capital Theater. After her graduation she worked in the local telephone office.

She was united in marriage to Bob Spilinek on June 6, 1959 at St. Mary's Cathedral in Grand Island.

The couple moved to San Diego in June 1959. Teddi was employed at the Walker Scott Co. where she was the personal secretary for George Scott. They moved to Ericson, NE in August 1972 where she sold Avon products and also worked at the Wheeler County Treasurer's office. The couple moved to Wolbach in 2006 and Teddi moved to Heritage Living Center in St. Paul in 2010. Bob moved to St. Paul shortly after.

Teddi loved and enjoyed life with Bob and her friends. She had an outgoing and friendly personality. She liked to read mysteries, enjoyed books on tape and she and Bob loved to go dancing. She crocheted many afghans, caps, scarfs and other items and loved to collect Elvis memorabilia, listen to his music, even seeing him in concert. She liked to collect teddy bears and she was a Red Hat member.

Teddi was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in St. Paul, a former member of the Bartlett Legion Auxiliary and currently was a member of the Carl Mogensen American Legion Auxiliary Unit 119 of St. Paul.

Survivors include her husband, Bob of St. Paul.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Craig.
