Terry J. Ramold, 54, of Columbus formerly of Palmer died suddenly Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at Bryan LGH West in Lincoln.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in St. Paul. Reverend Ray Kosmicki and Deacon Don Placke will officiate. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Palmer.

Visitation will be held on Friday, from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the church.

Memorials are suggested to the Palmer Public School Endowment Fund or the Ewing Fire and Rescue.

Greenway Funeral Home in Palmer is in charge of the arrangements.

Terry was born August 19, 1959 to George and Elaine (Boyle) Ramold in O'Neill, Nebraska.

He was raised in Ewing and graduated from Ewing High School in 1977. He graduated from Wayne State College in 1983.

Terry was united in marriage to Victoria Retzlaff on April 22, 1989 at St. Leo's Catholic Church in Grand Island. Their marriage was blessed with a daughter Maggie Mae born December 23, 1992.

Terry was employed with Golden Sun Feeds, worked for Farmland Co-op in Hampton and for the last 20 years he was District Sales Manager for Kent Feeds.

Terry and Vicki recently moved to Columbus from Palmer.

They were attending St. Isidor's Catholic Church in Columbus.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus - St. Paul Council, National Cattleman's Association, Nebraska Cattleman's, Platte County Cattleman's, Boone County Cattleman's, Nebraska Pork Producers, and Sons of American Legion of Palmer serving as Past Commander. He was a member of Wayne State College Alumni Association and a past President of the Board of Education of Palmer Public School.

Terry had a special love mentoring and coaching young people. This part of his life began in Ewing and carried over to Palmer where he was able to touch the lives of many young athletes. He founded Palmer Hoops Mania where he ran the area program for 20 years.

Terry was a devoted husband and father.

He enjoyed his Kent Feed family, the Chicago Cubs, fishing, music and Husker sports. Terry loved history and politics, but of all the roles Terry had in his life, he cherished most was his role as Dad to Maggie Mae and husband to Vicki.

Survivors include his wife, Victoria of Columbus; a daughter, Maggie Mae Ramold of Storm Lake, IA; and his parents, George and Elaine Ramold of Norfolk; God daughters, Jennifer Ramold and Emma Deitrick; six brothers and five sisters-in-law, Kenny Ramold of Dalhart, TX, Gary and Bonita Ramold of Norfolk, Greg & Colleen Ramold of Ewing, Steven & Paula Ramold of Ypsilanti, MI, Mark & Linda Ramold and James & Renee Ramold all of Ewing; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Carolyn & Tim Lilyhorn of Grand Island, Colleen Croghan of Norfolk, Cheryl Ramold of McKinney, TX and Elaine & Kent Stallbaum of Stanton; nieces and nephews, Sherrie, Sheresa, Adam, Michael, Mariah, Mahaila, Matt, Zach, Ben, Kelsey, Megan, Nick, Abby, Christian, Hunter, Sidney, Natalie, Jason, and Sheri; mother-in-law, Marilyn Retzlaff of Doniphan; three sisters-in-law & two brothers-in-law, Teresa & Mark Baumert, Susan Deitrick and Stephanie & Don Leeding all of Doniphan.

He is preceded in death by grandparents, Joseph and Anna Ramold and Charles & Alice Boyle; father-in-law, Bill Retzlaff, and his best friend Gary.
