Steven L. Rasmussen

Steven L. Rasmussen, 59, of Scotia died peacefully with his family by his side after his courageous battle with cancer on Monday, March 11, 2013 in Omaha.
There will be a visitation on Thursday from 1:00 - 7:00 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Jacobsen-Greenway Funeral Home in St. Paul. A private family burial will be held on Friday in Mount Hope Cemetery in Scotia.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family's choice.
Mr. Rasmussen was born March 1, 1954 in St. Paul to Dennis and the late Maxine (Yax) Rasmussen.
Steve was a lifetime farmer and rancher from Scotia. His pride was the loyal customers he met and the services and supports he provided them. He greatly valued the friendships gained during his 17 years with ADM.
Steve is survived by his father, Dennis of Cotesfield and three sisters and brothers-in-law, Cindy and Jim Watson of Omaha, Vicki and Doug Hughes of Lincoln and Mary Jo and Dan Veskrna of Blair and nieces and nephews.
He is preceded by his mother, Maxine Rasmussen.
The family would like to thank the doctors and staff from the St. Francis Cancer Treatment Center for the excellent treatment and support that was given to Steve.
