Ruth F. Mcintyre

Ruth F. McIntyre, 72, of Wolbach died Saturday, December 31, 2011 at her home in Wolbach.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in St. Paul. The Reverend Ray Kosmicki will officiate. Interment will be held at 2:30 p.m. in the Ord Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Monday with a wake service at 7:00 p.m. at the church.

Jacobsen-Greenway Funeral Home in St. Paul is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society, Hodkins Lymphoma Association or to the donor's choice.

Ruth was born August 13, 1939 in North Loup in the same house her father was born in. Her parents were Herman and Florence (Vergin) Nass.

She attended North Loup Schools where she graduated in 1956. Ruth attended Kearney State College where she earned her English and Business degree in 3 years.

She was united in marriage to Mike McIntyre on February 28, 1962 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Wolbach.

Ruth taught for nine years beginning in 1960 in the Wolbach school system before teaching for a year in Greeley. In 1975 she returned to the Wolbach schools where she taught for 27 years until 2002. She then taught as a substitute teacher from 2002 until 2007.
Of her 37 years of teaching, her earlier years she was a commercial teacher and later she taught English.

She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in St. Paul and was a member of the former St. Joseph's Catholic Church of Wolbach. She was a member of the Town and Country Club and the Saddle Club of Wolbach.

During her time as a teacher, she was very active in the school, helping with the one act play, serving as a sponsor for the annual, class, speech, and the school newspaper. She was also a librarian for a time.

At church she was a CCD teacher, active in the altar society and a vacation Bible school teacher and was a church trustee at St. Joseph's Catholic Church.

Ruth was a FHA chapter mom and judge.

Her hobbies included flowers, gardening, birds, fish, trips to Pickstown, dress up Halloween parties and especially dancing. She was an avid reader and she loved her cat "kitty".

Her grandsons Tyler and Tom were very special to her.

Ruth is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Rita and Brad Loseke and two grandsons, Tyler and Tom Loseke all of Omaha and a special friend, Don Poss of Wolbach.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents, Warren and Stella Vergin and a great aunt Bertha.
