Ronald E. Verley, 41, of St. Paul died November 19, 2007 at the Howard County Community Hospital in St. Paul.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in St. Paul. The Reverend Ray Kosmicki will officiate. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery in St. Paul. Visitation will be held on Friday, from 4 - 8 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. wake service at Jacobsen-Greenway Funeral Home in St. Paul.

Memorials are suggested to the family's choice or to the St. Paul EMT's.

Mr. Verley was born June 29, 1966 in Lincoln. His parents are Robert and Leona (Koperski) Verley. He attended Sts. Peter and Paul Parochial School in St. Paul through the sixth grade and the St. Paul Public School where he graduated in 1984.

Ron was united in marriage to Billi Dugger on September 22, 1990 in St. Paul.

Ron first worked for Zlomke's Furniture, then Diamond Engineering in Grand Island. He later worked at Delicious Foods in Grand Island and then S.E. Smith and Sons Lumber Yard in St. Paul. He had to retired at an early age due to illness.

Ron loved the outdoors, including hunting, fishing, canoeing, and trapping. He enjoyed western movies, collecting antiques, cooking, raising houseplants and raising fish in his aquarium. Ron raised Golden Retrievers. Ron was a member of the Boy Scouts and went canoeing and camping in Minnesota and Canada with the Scouts. He loved Harley Davidson Motorcycles.

His family was everything to Ron. He was active in his children's school activities, was very close to his nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was one that would be there to help people.

He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in St. Paul and the National Rifle Association.

Survivors include three sons, Jake, Robert and Justin Verley of St. Paul; one daughter, Samantha Wize of Polk; his parents, Robert and Leona Verley of St. Paul; one sister and brother-in-law, Patty and Marvin Caudill of Wolbach; two nieces, Jessica Jarman and her husband, Clint and Kaycee Christensen, all of Wolbach; one nephew, Seth Christensen of St. Paul; four great-nieces, Ashlyn Urbanski, Raegyn Jarman, Logyn Jarman and Annberlyn McClay; and three special friends, Rich Rasmussen, Larry Sack and Bryan Runge.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and a niece, Alicia Christensen.
