Robert K. Kaltenbach

Robert K. Kaltenbach, 69, of St. Paul died Wednesday, January 09, 2008 at the Howard County Community Hospital in St. Paul.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday at Grace Baptist Church in St. Paul. The Reverend Pat Moore will officiate. Inurnment will be in Elmwood Cemetery in St. Paul. There will not be any visitation, Mr. Kaltenbach was cremated.
Memorials are suggested to Grace Baptist Church or to the Omaha Christian Academy.

Mr. Kaltenbach was born in a two room log cabin on October 14, 1938 in Long Valley, SD, to Phil and Mary (Sorenson) Kaltenbach, the fifth of seven children.
At the age of 13, Bob accepted the Lord as his personal Saviour while attending vacation Bible School. That decision set a pattern in Bob's life as he taught others about his Lord for the following 7 summers in various ministries. He was raised in Long Valley and attended school there to the 8th grade. He attended high school in Kadoka, SD where he graduated in 1957. He furthered his education in Canada at the Briercrest Bible College, graduating in 1960. He was an ordained minister. He worked with Child Evangelism Fellowship until accepting the position of Dean of Students at Sunshine Bible Academy in Miller, SD. It was there that he met his best friend and wife Elizabeth. They were married on July 5, 1964 in Jansen, NE.
Bob taught school in Tripp County rural school in South Dakota and in St. Paul, NE.
Bobs life was all about sharing the message of God's Love and Wonderful gift of Salvation, and encouraging other in their daily Christian walk with the Lord.
Robert enjoyed woodworking, any type of craftwork and gardening. He especially enjoyed his grandchildren. He always loved studying the Bible.
He was a member of Grace Baptist Church in St. Paul where he taught Sunday School.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth of St. Paul; a son and daughter-in-law, David and Cherie Kaltenbach of Plano, TX; a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and David Saiz of Omaha; and three grandchildren, Jared Saiz and Rebekah and Philip Kaltenbach; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Eugene and Bessie Kaltenbach of Helena, MT, Kenneth and Betty Kaltenbach of Beresford, SD and Edwin and Marcia Kaltenbach of Worthing, SD, two sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and Allen Berry of Kadoka, SD and Judy and Kenneth Nelson of Lake Andes, SD and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Don.
