Reynaldo J. Musquiz, 59, of Wood River died Thursday, January 10, 2013 at his home in Wood River.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday at Jacobsen-Greenway Funeral Home in St. Paul. The Reverend Eddie Goff will officiate. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery in St. Paul. Visitation will be held on Monday, from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to the family's choice.
Reynaldo was born December 17, 1953 in Alice, Texas to Paul and Antonia (Joslin) Musquiz.
He attended school in Cushing until high school when he went to St. Paul Public School where he graduated in 1972.
He lived in the Grand Island and Wood River area after his schooling where he first worked for Missouri Valley Construction in Grand Island for approximately 8 years.
He was united in marriage to Julie Christensen in 1988 at Faith United Methodist Church in Grand Island.
Reynaldo worked for Monfort, ConAgra and Swift for over 20 years in Grand Island.
He loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. He enjoyed racing horses in Nebraska.
Survivors include sons, Travis and his wife, Jessie Musquiz of Fayetteville, NC, Nathan Musquiz of Grand Island and Tyler Abbott of Lincoln; his father, Paul of Cushing; two grandchildren, Landon and Brooklyn Musquiz; five brothers, Paul Musquiz, Jr. and his wife, Joy of Independence, MO, Samuel Musquiz of Aurora, Larry, Arnold "A.J." and Jesse Musquiz, all of Grand Island; and eight sisters and five brothers-in-law, Delia and Dennis Beed of Grand Island, Gloria Ayers of Lexington, MO, Betty Pedersen and Rebecca Musquiz of Grand Island, Martha and Ken Kowalewski of Papillion, Linda and Johnny Clancey of Hastings, Sylvia and Jay Rutten of Cedar Rapids and Amelia and Shawn Kelly of Papillion.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Antonia.
