Pauline Lamberson, 97, of Palmer died Monday, November 24, 2014 at Brookefield Park in St. Paul.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday at the United Methodist Church in Palmer. The Reverend Martin Leeper and Pastor Sara Lamberson Nelson will officiate. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Palmer.
Visitation will be from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m., Monday at Greenway Funeral Home in Palmer.
Memorials are suggested to the United Methodist Church in Palmer.
Mildred Pauline, was born to Philo and Ethel (Ruby) Drury on June 29, 1917 at their home in the North Star area west of Fullerton, Nebraska.
She attended Nance County District 43 elementary school and graduated from Fullerton High School in 1934.
Following graduation from high school she taught in Nance County rural schools for five years.
Pauline was united in marriage to Guy Lamberson on June 11, 1939. They made their home and farmed in the Glenwood Community northeast of Palmer.
At various times, she was employed by the Nance County Assessor's office, Golden Rule Electric in Palmer, and as a substitute bus driver for Palmer Public School.
She was a member of the North Star EUB church where she taught Sunday school and was church pianist for several years. She was a member of the Glenwood Women's Club.
Following the closing of the North Star Church, the couple became members of the Palmer United Methodist Church where she was a member of the United Methodist Women and Sunshine Circle. Between the two Methodist Churches, she was a member for 85 years.
Her husband passed away in August 1996. She then moved into Palmer.
She enjoyed making quilts, reading and baking.
Pauline is survived by five sons and daughters-in-law, Roland & Michele Lamberson of Arcata, CA, Robert & Mary Jane Lamberson of Dannebrog, NE, Rodney & Linda Lamberson of Canfield, OH, Thomas & Marjorie Lamberson of Lincoln, NE and William & Laura Lamberson of Columbia, MO; 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren; and one sister-in-law, Maxine Drury of Jonesboro, Arkansas.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Guy on August 23, 1996, two brothers and sister-in-law, William Drury and Howard & Margery Drury.
