Patricia "Pat" Y. Hansen

Patricia "Pat" Y. Hansen, 74, of Farwell, died on Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at Bryan LGH Hospital - East in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Funeral Services will be 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, August 3, 2021, at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in St. Paul.  Interment will be in the Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.  Pastor Steven Neal will be officiating.

Visitation will be from 5-7 P.M. on Monday, August 2, 2021, at Jacobsen-Greenway-Dietz Funeral Home in St. Paul.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Clinic or the Bryan LGH Heart Institute.

Pat was born on November 25, 1946, to Adolph & Rose (Hansen) Cyboron in Dannebrog, Nebraska.  She graduated from Boelus High School in 1965. She attended Cosmetology School and opened Pat’s Stylet in 1966.  In May of 2006, she graduated from Central Community College earning her Associate Degree in Business Technology specializing in Medical Office.

She was united in marriage to Glen Hansen on April 4, 1970.  The couple enjoyed going to dances.  She worked part time at the Red Carpet Salon.  She was a cook for many years working at Farwell Public School, St. Paul Catholic School, St. Francis Medical Center, and the St. Paul Senior Center.  She was a phenomenal baker and cake decorator.  Along with her cakes, she made the best homemade mints for various occasions over the years. She was known for her kolaches and rosette cookies.  Pat and Glen also had a catering business for several years.  She was an active member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in St. Paul.  She served as president and secretary at the church. She enjoyed serving for the various church suppers. She led the serving committee for many years.  Her laugh was infectious, and she will be missed by her family and friends.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Glen; sons and their spouses, Clint & Hilary Hansen of Farwell & Chris & Sara Hansen of Lincoln; grandchildren, Kylie Hansen & Parker Hansen; brother and sister-in-law, James & Sandy Cyboron; sisters-in-law, Kathryn Cyboron of Boelus, Arlette Jacobsen of Lincoln, Linda Cyboron of Seattle, WA; and numerous nieces & nephews.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, A. George Cyboron and Dean Cyboron; and brother-in-law, Virgil Jacobsen.
