Norma Jane Fielder, 77 of Dannebrog, passed away on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at the Howard County Medical Center in St. Paul.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at the First Baptist Church in Dannebrog, NE. Pastor Rob Pearson will be officiating. A Private Burial will be in the Oak Ridge Cemetery in Dannebrog.
Visitation will be from 4-7 P.M. on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at Jacobsen-Greenway-Dietz Funeral Home in St. Paul. Memorials are suggested to the family to be designated at a later date.
Norma was born on August 10, 1943 in Schuyler, Nebraska to Rudolf & Anna (Bourek) Lapacek. She grew up on a farm and graduated from Schuyler Public School in 1961. She lived in Dannebrog for 52 years.
Norma was retired cook from the Skyline Cafe. She was employed by the Grand Island Independent as a carrier in the Dannebrog area for many years. She also worked at Johnson’s Steak Master and was a school bus driver.
Norma loved playing softball, bowling, golfing, & coaching Little & Pony League Baseball. She was an avid crocheter. She enjoyed crafting, especially making Christmas ornaments. Norma was a good carpenter & made many items in her home.
Norma was survived by two sons, Tracy Fielder of Dannebrog, Trenton (Rebecca) Fielder of High Ridge, MO; three sisters, Irene Stepanek of Lincoln NE, Betty Fielder of San Pablo, CA, Donna Lacina of David City, NE; and former husband, Vernon L Fielder of Aurora, NE.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Terry; and two sisters, Margie & Eleanor.
