E. Darline Muller, 85, of St. Paul died Saturday, January 24, 2009 at the Howard County Community Hospital in St. Paul.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday at the First Presbyterian Church in St. Paul. Phil LaRoe will officiate. A private family inurnment will be in Elmwood Cemetery in St. Paul. There will not be any visitation, Mrs. Muller was cremated.
Memorials are suggested to the family's choice.
Jacobsen-Greenway Funeral Home in St. Paul is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Muller was born March 17, 1923 in St. Paul to B.B. and Myrle (Hesler) Klinginsmith.
She was raised in St. Paul and attended St. Paul Schools where she graduated from St. Paul High School in 1941. Darline then attended St. Paul Business College.
She was united in marriage to John Muller on October 8, 1942 in Broken Bow.
Darline was a clerk at Swinarski Pharmacy in St. Paul for 13 years. She retired in 1983. John died on August 22, 2005. Darline continued to live in St. Paul for the remainder of her life.
Darline and John enjoyed traveling and going to Las Vegas. Darline also enjoyed reading and being a homemaker.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in St. Paul and was a member of the M & O organization in the church being active in quilting and other projects of the church. Darline also belonged to the Carl Mogensen American Legion Auxiliary Unit #119 of St. Paul.
Darline is survived by a daughter, Susan Muller-Joy and her husband Greg of Bennet, NE; five grandchildren and their spouses, Marci & Rod Reffert, Ryan & Becky Pollock, Chad and Stacey Petersen, Sean & Barb Stanczyk and Heather and Cory Gearhart; 8 great-grandchildren; one brother, Lyle Klinginsmith; and three sons-in-law, Bill Hohe of Alexandria, VA, Mel Griess of Henderson, NE and Warren Petersen of Grand Island.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John; three daughters, Janet Hohe, Sandra Griess and Patricia Petersen; and 2 sisters, an infant and Nellie J. Gladfelter.
