AnnaBelle Wieser, 82, of St. Paul died Sunday, October 26, 2008 at the Howard County Community Hospital in St. Paul.



Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, at the United Methodist Church in St. Paul. The Reverend Thomas Hyde will officiate. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery in St. Paul. Visitation will be held Tuesday, from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m., at Jacobsen-Greenway Funeral Home in St. Paul.



Memorials are suggested to the St. Paul United Methodist Church or the Howard County Agricultural Society.



Mrs. Wieser was born April 24, 1926 in Spalding, NE to Vernon "Buzz" and Bessie (Studley) Berney.



AnnaBelle attended country school near Greeley to the 8th grade. She then attended Greeley Public School and then Kimberly High School in Kimberly, ID where she graduated in 1942.



After her schooling, AnnaBelle worked for the Twin Falls Times News newspaper.



She was united in marriage to Harold Wieser on June 8, 1947 in Twin Falls, ID. The couple moved to St. Paul where AnnaBelle was a homemaker before joining her husband in business in 1951, when they purchased the paint, appliance and wallpaper department of Zlomke Furniture. At that time they opened Wieser Appliance. Harold and AnnaBelle operated the business until 1989 when they sold it to their son and daughter-in-law, Ben and Jeanette Wieser.



AnnaBelle then worked at Dillards for four years.



Her husband Harold died on December 5, 1994. AnnaBelle continued to make her home in St. Paul.



She was very active, volunteering at the VA Hospital in Grand Island, serving on the Howard County Fair Board and the Parkside Plaza Board and a past member of the St. Paul Chamber of Commerce. She was a 50 year member of the Just Us Girls Extension Club.



AnnaBelle was a 60 year member of the St. Paul United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Martha Circle, the Carl Mogensen American Legion Auxiliary Unit #119 where she served as president, and a past member of the Order of Eastern Star, serving as Worthy Matron.



AnnaBelle enjoyed life having a sense of humor and kidding people. She like to dance, go fishing, especially at Sherman Reservoir, play cards, crocheting and she especially enjoyed watching American Legion Baseball.



Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Terry and Karen Wieser of Heber, UT and Ben and Jeanette Wieser of St. Paul, a daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Barry Houston of Harvard; 11 grandchildren and their spouses, Amy and Steve Molnar, Sarah and Craig Wiberg, Meghan and Tim Malik, Cara Wieser, Adam Wieser, Ingrid Wieser, Megan Spencer, Carrie and Matt Vivas, Ryan and Brandi Redinger, Shayln Wieser and Dylan Wieser; 8 great-grandchildren, Alex and Chloe Molnar, Fiona and Teddy Wiberg, Jameson Malik, Makenna, Tyson and Taten Redinger; one brother and sister-in-law, Virgil and Amy Berney of Buhl, ID and a special friend, Joe Pedersen.



She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold; and a sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Frank Pabian.
