Lloyd K. Gardiner, 91, of Sequim, Washington died December 16, 2008.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 6, 2009 at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Dannebrog. The Reverend Robert Carlson, Jr. will officiate.
Memorials are suggested to the family's choice.
Mr. Gardiner was born September 7, 1917 in Ashton to Joseph and Ida (Jensen) Gardiner.
He spent his childhood in Ashton and Dannebrog. Decker, as he preferred to be called, proudly served as a Merchant Seaman during WWII. Many of the ships he was on delivered supplies for the war effort in the South Pacific.
After the war, Decker worked in the Seattle area as a building contractor and developer.
He enjoyed hunting and gathering antiques.
Decker was very much his own man who marched to his own drummer.
Survivors include a nephew, Richard Foxal and a niece, Karla Barnes and her sons, Ryan and Brandon.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, J. Ray Gardiner and Neils J. Gardiner.
