Mr. Daniel J. Lukasiewicz

Daniel J. Lukasiewicz, 90, of Farwell died Friday, May 01, 2009 at Heritage Living Center in St. Paul.



Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Farwell. The Reverend Ray Kosmicki will officiate. Interment will be held in St. Anthony's Cemetery at Farwell. Visitation will be Monday, from 4 - 8 p.m. with a rosary at 7:30 p.m. at the church in Farwell.



In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Farwell Fire Department, Farwell QRT's or the Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church.



Daniel was born December 7 1918, on the family farm in rural Farwell to Leo and Kate (Larkowski) Lukasiewicz.



On August 26, 1942, he was united in marriage to Isabelle Rott at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in St. Paul. They made their home on the family farm southwest of Farwell where he farmed and moved to town in 1977 while he continued to work on the farm.



He was a dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren, and great- grandchildren, farming, making windmills for his family and local events, listening and watching polka music and shows, playing the accordion, fishing, going for drives in the country, and playing cards and domino's. He was always willing to help.



He was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Farwell.



Survivors include his wife Isabelle of 66 years, a son and daughter-in-law, David and Karen Lukasiewicz of Farwell; a daughter, Judy Lemburg of Farwell; grandchildren & spouses, Heidi & Kerry Townsend and their children, Madison & Branson of St. Paul; Trish & Cory Ludemann and their children, John & Kate of Hastings; Wendy & Darold Takahashi and their children, Lauren & Emily of Fort Collins, CO; Angelia & Danny Williams and their children, Erik & Aaron of Dannebrog; Dawn & Mike Johnson and their children, Kaleb & Kaleigh of Ravenna; Jolene Lemburg of Farwell; Travis & Tara Lemburg and their child, Keaton of Farwell; a sister Yvonne Wolinski of Farwell, and a sister-in-law Phyllis Lukasiewicz of St. Paul.



He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Raynold, a sister Irene, a brother-in-law Ernan Wolinski, and a son-in-law Gary Lemburg.
