Marybeth Tomlinson

Marybeth Tomlinson, 45, of St. Paul died Monday, March 2, 2015 at her home in St. Paul.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in St. Paul. The Reverend Carolyn Hellerich will officiate.
Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery in St. Paul.

Visitation will be held on Friday, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., Friday at the church.

In Marybeth's memory, the family requests casual attire be worn for the service, and something purple, which was her favorite color.

Memorials are suggested to the Central Nebraska Humane Society.

Jacobsen-Greenway Funeral Home in St. Paul is in charge of arrangements.

Marybeth was born January 31, 1970 in St. Paul to John and Kaye (Taylor) Tomlinson, Sr.

She was raised and attended schools in various states while her parents worked in those states. She completed her education in St. Paul Public Schools where she graduated in 1988. She then attended college to become an airline flight attendant.

Marybeth worked at Grand Island Senior High for two years as a para educator in the special education department. She continued her employment at Principal Financial Group in Grand Island before being transferred to the Omaha office, then to Des Moines. She later returned to the Grand Island office where she worked as a trainer until her retirement due to health reasons.

Marybeth lived in St. Paul while working in Grand Island and because she was a caring and giving person, she drove two children from St. Paul to Grand Island so they could attend special education classes.
She loved to dance, sing karaoke and paint figurines. She also loved dogs and cats.

She was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in St. Paul.

Survivors include a son, Trey Bickford of Ashland, NE; her parents, John and Kaye Tomlinson, Sr.; a sister, Tami Snyder of Marble, MN; two brothers, Vince Tomlinson and his partner, Laurie Arnett of Dannebrog and John Tomlinson, Jr. and his wife, Tamie of St. Paul; and nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents.
