Mary Lou Anderson, 78, of St. Paul died Friday, September 9, 2016 at Hamilton Manor in Aurora.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday at Grace Baptist Church in St. Paul. Reverend Daniel Bear will officiate. Inurnment will be in Oakridge Cemetery in Dannebrog.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Wednesday at Jacobsen-Greenway Funeral Home in St. Paul.
Memorials are suggested to the family’s choice.
Mrs. Anderson was born November 23, 1937 in Polk, NE to Edward D. and Florence M. (Hoffmaster) Kisler.
Mary Lou was raised in Polk and attended Polk schools.
After she was finished with her schooling, she stayed at home to take care of her mother.
She was united in marriage to Eugene Anderson on October 2, 1972 in Grand Island.
The couple made their home in Grand Island where her husband was employed.
She moved to St. Paul in 1984 where she lived at Parkside Plaza for many years.
Her husband, Eugene, died on November 7, 1995. Mary Lou continued to live in St. Paul, most recently at Brookefield Park.
She enjoyed doing cross stitching, painting and different types of artwork.
Mary Lou was a member of Grace Baptist Church in St. Paul.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Kim Anderson of Grand Island; six grandchildren; a sister, Louise Hack of Aurora; nieces and nephews; and a friend, Joann Urbanski of St. Paul.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; a brother and sister-in-law, Glen and Lillian Kisler; and a sister, Betty Johnson.
