Marjorie Mae (Lorenzen) Lambert

Marjorie Mae Lambert, 92, of Palmer, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2023, with her family at her side.

She was a kind and loving wife of her husband of 73 years, and matriarch of her family of six children, 14 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.

Marjorie was the daughter of Albert and Dora Lorenzen of Clearwater, Nebraska. She attended Neligh High School where she was the valedictorian of her class, and met her future husband. She then attended Norfolk Junior College before marrying Warren, her high school sweetheart and love of her life, on October 30, 1949.

The couple moved to Palmer to become part of the family ranch. She raised six children who all graduated from Palmer High School:  Cynthia Peterson, Constance Hameloth (Steven), Twyla Moraczewski (Mark), Donald Lambert, Jr. (Kim), Dr. Christopher Lambert (Michelle), and Albert Lambert (Deb).

She was preceded in death by her only sibling, Kaye Traver and her daughter, Constance Hameloth.  She instilled in her family a love of nature and the importance of hard work.

While raising her family, Marjorie was active in the Methodist Church, served as President of the Palmer Women’s Club, was a 4-H leader, and served on the state extension board of western Nebraska.  She love gardening, square dancing, ballroom dancing, and raising miniature donkeys. She and Warren traveled extensively throughout Europe and the United States. Memorials are suggested to the family in lieu of flowers. Private family services will be held at a later date.
