Marion Joyce Barnett

Marion Joyce Barnett, 80, of St. Paul, died Monday, June 4, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, June 8, 2018 at Jacobsen-Greenway Funeral Home in St. Paul.  Pastor Steven Neal will be officiating.  Visitation will be from 5-7 P.M. Thursday at Jacobsen-Greenway Funeral Home in St. Paul.  Memorials are suggested to the family to be designated at a later date, in lieu of flowers.

Marion was born December 23, 1937 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She was 1 of 9 children born to Cecil and Bernice Huckstep. She married the love of her life, Bill Barnett, on June 25, 1955.

Her life was rich with love of family, her pets, and animals of all sorts. She was an avid gardener, a fan of cardinals (both the bird and the baseball team), westerns on TV, and music. In December of 2017, she and Bill celebrated 62 years of marriage. To those who knew her she was comfort, counsel, strength, support and wisdom.

She was the mother to 5 children: daughter Connie (Barnett) Shields and son-in-law Tom of Kearney, Nebraska; Bill Barnett Jr. and daughter-in-law Yolanda of Grand Island; Suzy (Barnett) Grubb of Torrington, Wyoming; Tom Barnett and daughter-in-law Lorna of Doniphan, Nebraska; and Carrie (Barnett) Osing and son-in-law Jon of Villa Park, Illinois. She was the grandmother to 12 and great grandmother to 30.

She was preceded in death by granddaughter Amy Shields, son-in-law Jim Grubb, and great grandson Nolen Hill.
