Louie Caudill

November 9, 1929 — January 12, 2016

Louie W. Caudill, 86, of St. Paul died Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at Brookefield Park in St. Paul.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday at Jacobsen-Greenway Funeral Home in St. Paul.  Reverend Martha Voigt will officiate.  Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery in St. Paul.

Visitation will be Friday, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to the family’s choice.

Mr. Caudill was born November 9, 1929 in Brayton, NE to Wheeler and Molly (Tiller) Caudill.

Louie was raised and received his education in Brayton and St. Paul.

He was united in marriage to Bethene Larson on June 22, 1950 at the First Presbyterian Church in St. Paul.

Louie first worked for Clifford Hall in St. Paul selling cars and also worked at the Cornhusker Army Ammunition Plant, Niedfelt Sand and Gravel, Missouri Valley Sand and Gravel and Christensen Sand and Gravel, all located in Grand Island.  He then worked for Tri County Sand and Gravel in Elba before working for Hooker Brothers in Grand Island until his retirement.

Louie enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family and grandchildren.  He was dedicated to his work and family.

He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in St. Paul.

Survivors include four daughters and two sons-in-law, Candace Tenopir of St. Paul, Cheryl and Kenneth Castagno of Phoenix, Cathy and Donald Dimmitt of Ord, and Christine Caudill of Phoenix; three granddaughters; four great-granddaughters; step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren; one sister, Lois Scott of Renton, WA and nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Bethene on January 19, 2006; three brothers, Lundy, Theodore, and Leverett Caudill; and two sisters, Letha Wolfert and Lila Caudill.
