Lillian Setlik

Lillian Setlik, 85, of Ord died Friday, March 15, 2013 at Valley County Health System in Ord.

Lillian's request was to be cremated and have a private family graveside service held at a later date in the Ord City Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the Valley County Hospice or the Ord or Burwell Rescue Units.

Jacobsen-Greenway Funeral Home in St. Paul is in charge of arrangements.

Lillian was born April 11, 1927 on the family farm in Valley County to Frank and Agnes (Bruha) Volf.

She was united in marriage to Theodore Setlik on February 19, 1946 at Saint Mary's Church in Elyria, NE. The couple lived and farmed in Valley County west of Ord.

Her husband died at the young age of 37 years.

Lillian moved into Ord where she worked at several jobs, the last being at Ord Memorial Chapel where she retired.

She took a lot of pride in working in her yard, crocheting, trying new recipes and surfing the internet to find more.

Lillian was a member of the Crimson Angels and Happy Circle Extension Club. She volunteered at Grandview, Valley County Nursing Home and for the Bloodmobile.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in law, Larry and Chrystine Setlik of Hastings; a daughter and son-in-law Yvonne and Jim Bodyfield of Ericson, NE; five grandsons that were her pride and joy, Lance Setlik of Hastings, T.J. Setlik and wife Kaylee of Denver, Mark Bodyfield of Omaha, Jeff Bodyfield and wife Dawn of Omaha, Ryan Bodyfield and fiancé©, Kasi Nelson of Ericson, NE; one great granddaughter, Avery Bodyfield of Omaha of whom she enjoyed many pictures, visits and activity updates in her final days. She is also survived by two sisters, Dorothy Setlik of Grand Island, and Alice Hulinsky of Gering, NE; four sisters-in-law, Maxine Volf of Ord, Bernice Vodehnal of Loup City, Minnie Setlik of Lincoln, and Dorothy Setlik of Sacrament, CA and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore; mother and father, one brother, Edwin Volf; two sisters, Emma Hulinsky and Lucy Vampola; and infant twin siblings.
