Leonard R. Lyions

Leonard “Leo” R. Lyions, 65, of St. Paul, passed away on Monday, April 10, 2023 at Bergen Mercy Hospital in Omaha, with his family by his side.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 13, 2023, at the United Methodist church in Wolbach.   Pastor Mike Anderson will officiate. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery in Wolbach.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at Jacobsen-Greenway-Dietz Funeral Home in St. Paul.  Memorials are suggested to the family to designated at a later date.

Leonard Raymond Lyions was born on April 28, 1957, in St. Paul, NE the son of William and Ethel (Henke) Lyions. He attended Wolbach high school and graduated in 1975.

Leo met the love of his life, Heather Timmerman and they were married on May 21, 2005 in Grand Island.  Together they enjoyed traveling to Florida and spending time together.  He had a love of farming, tending to his garden, and spending time with his dog, Daisy.

Leo is survived by his wife, of 17 years, Heather Lyions; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ryan and Joy Wenn of Lincoln; sisters-in-law, Jennifer Hanson of Florida and Deb Lyions of Wolbach; in-laws, Linda and Arnold Wenn of Grand Island and Scott Timmerman of Iowa; numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Leo was preceded in death by his parents; and nephew, Shawn Sack.
