Larry Eastman, 73, of Boelus died Sunday, May 13, 2012 at St. Francis Medical Center in Grand Island, Nebraska.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday at the Winner Cemetery in Winner, South Dakota. Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., with a wake service held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday at Jacobsen-Greenway Funeral Home in St. Paul.

Memorials are suggested to the family's choice.

Larry was born December 14, 1938 on a farm near Phillips, Nebraska to John Richard & Buela Pearl (Rhodes) Eastman.

Larry grew up in the Phillips and Giltner areas. The family moved to Aurora in 1949 where they lived for 5 years. They then moved to York where they lived a short time and moved to a farm house in Kearney. In 1957, he came back to Aurora area and worked around the area for the next few years.

In 1974, he met Lorena Paczosa.

In 1980 the couple moved to the Black Hills in South Dakota where the two of them raised a daughter Trena Paczosa, until she joined the Airforce in 1998. He worked in the Gold Mine in Lead, South Dakota from 1980 till 1999, after that he worked at Casinos in Deadwood for about a year. Then Larry & Lorena moved to Grand Island, Nebraska in 2001 where they resided together until Lorena passed away in 2006. Larry worked at EDS in Grand Island from 2002 until 2004 when he retired.

Larry loved to hunt, fish, travel, spend time with family, go to family get-togethers, bowl spend time with people, enjoy nature, loved the outdoors and also enjoyed helping people and making people smile. He spent many hours with his great grandkids and enjoyed reading them stories and taking them swinging. He liked sports and enjoyed watching baseball & softball games and Husker football. Larry liked working on cars and enjoyed woodworking and making items for people.

Larry was baptized in the Catholic faith.

He was a charter member of the Central City Eagles Club.

Larry is survived by his children, Trena Paczosa of Malvern, Iowa; Marcus & Rhonda Paczosa of St. Paul and Marshall & Cynthia Paczosa of Elba, MaryDel & Jim Roy of Boelus and Martha Paczosa of Grand Island; thirteen grandchildren, MaKayla Peterman, Miranda Paczosa, Dillon Paczosa, Marcus Paczosa, Josh Paczosa, Kimberly Paczosa, Luke Paczosa, Jacob Paczosa, Shane Archer, Shana Paczosa, Melissa Young, Travis Warford and Alexis Paczosa and twelve great grandchildren, Kaitlin Peterman, Kisha Paczosa, Layne Paczosa, Marena Paczosa, Gavin Young, Jermaine Muck, Kristina Warford, Trevor Warford, Bianca Warford, Emily Warford, Dalton Paczosa, and Lexis Paczosa, and one brother Earl Eastman of Tacoma, WA.

He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Raymond Eastman; two sisters, Donna Spangler, & Ruth Ann Davis; a grandson, Shaun Archer; grandparents; several aunts & uncles; and a very dear and special friend Lorena Paczosa.
