Kenny A. Klinginsmith, 45, of Phoenix, Arizona died Friday, October 21, 2011 at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Sunday at Jacobsen-Greenway Funeral Home in St. Paul. The Reverend Pat Moore will officiate. Interment will be held in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m., Saturday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Grace Baptist Church Building Fund, the Howard County Medical Center or the family's choice.

Kenny was born October 28, 1965 at St. Paul, Nebraska to Jim & Darlene (Lindell) Klinginsmith.

He grew up in St. Paul and attended St. Paul schools. He graduated from St. Paul High School in 1984. He then attended Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture for two years and graduated in 1987 with an Associates Degree in Agricultural Science.

Upon graduation he worked for several area farmers before moving to Phoenix in 1997.

He worked as Nighttime Yard Supervisor at Great Western Building Materials in Phoenix where he had lived the last 14 years.

Kenny enjoyed collecting Coke memorabilia and was an avid Nascar fan in which he collected Jeff Gordon memorabilia, and also loved listening to country music. He enjoyed traveling, with a memorable trip with his mother in 2008 when they went to Greece and Italy. Kenny loved spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews.

Kenny is survived by his mother, Darlene Klinginsmith of St. Paul; three brothers & sisters-in-law, Rick and his best friend Joann, Scott & Cherri of St. Paul and Steve & Jamie of St. Paul; three nieces, Chelsie, Raegan and Piepyr & three nephews, Colby, Parker and Jaxson; several aunts, uncles & cousins; a special Phoenix (mom) Pam Betz and all his Phoenix family and a multitude of friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jim Klinginsmith, grandparents, Ellis & Gertrude Klinginsmith and Albert & Hazel Lindell and several aunts and uncles.
