Kenneth E. Hilmer, 55, of St. Paul died Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at the Howard County Medical Center in St. Paul.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday at Jacobsen-Greenway Funeral Home in St. Paul. The Reverend Joel Rathbun will officiate. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Ebenezer Cemetery near Boelus.
A time to greet the family and sign the guestbook will be held on Monday, from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to the family's choice.

Kenneth was born April 23, 1955 to Ed and Edna (Glines) Hilmer.
He was raised in Boelus where he attended grade school before attending high school at Centura where he graduated in 1973. Kenneth lived in St. Paul and worked as a mechanic at Jacobs Ford in St. Paul and Kinman Chevrolet in Grand Island. Later he drove truck for Parris Trucking and Platte River By Products of Grand Island. He retired from the trucking business because of health reasons.
Kenneth enjoyed dogs and working on his computer.
Survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-law, Daniel and Laura Gay and Zachary Hilmer all of Grand Island and Dallas and Dawn Kriz of Lincoln; seven grandchildren; his parents, Ed and Edna Hilmer of St. Paul; a sister and brother-in-law, Jane and John Wortman of Boelus; nieces, Mindy Welch and Sara Wortman; a friend, Doretta Arnett and many other friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
