Kelly D. (Anderson) Gebhardt

Kelly D. Gebhardt, 55 of St. Paul, formerly of Missouri, passed away on May 4, 2022, in Omaha, NE with her family by her side.

As per Kelly’s wishes, cremation has taken place.  A family service will be on Monday, May 9, 2022, in St. Joseph, MO.

Visitation will be from 5-7 P.M. on Friday, May 13, 2022, at Jacobsen-Greenway-Dietz Funeral Home in St. Paul.  A Celebration of her Life will follow at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to St. Jude’s Children Hospital.

Kelly Anderson Gebhardt was born May 13, 1966, in St. Joseph, MO to parents, Don E. Anderson & Mary (Cotter) Anderson.  Kelly grew up in Cameron and graduated from Cameron High School in 1984.   In 1987 she was united in marriage to Todd Poretta. They lived in the Kansas City area where they raised their two children.  They later divorced.  On December 26, 2013, Kelly & John Gebhardt were married.  They made St. Paul their home.

Kelly experienced many health problems throughout her life and yet was a positive influence on her family and friends.  When her health did not allow her to work anymore, she turned her life to gardening, helping John on the farm and her home.  Most of all she loved her family and friends.

Kelly is survived by her husband, John of St. Paul; children, Travis Poretta and Taylor (Kevin) Chadwick; grandchildren Nicholas, Henry and Remington; stepchildren, Anna, Cole, Caleb & Lauren Gebhardt; parents, Don E. Anderson & Mary (Jerry) Cotter Sprong; brothers, Kevin (Chris) Anderson and Kent (Lorenna) Anderson; several nieces and nephews, and other relatives and many friends.
