Judy E. Steenson, 64, of Grand Island, formerly of Wolbach, died Sunday, December 26, 2010 at Wedgewood Care Center in Grand Island, Nebraska.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, December 30, 2010 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in St. Paul. The Reverend Ray Kosmicki will officiate. Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday at Jacobsen-Greenway Funeral Home, with Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Interment will be held at Hillside Cemetery in Wolbach, Nebraska.
Memorials are suggested to the Wolbach Community Center Fund or to the Down Syndrome Association.
Judy was born September 7, 1946 to Delmar & Reva (Marco) Steenson at Belgrade, Nebraska.
She grew up in the rural Wolbach area and attended school at Wolbach Public School.
She lived most of her life in Wolbach and helped with work around the house.
Judy loved her family very much, as well as the people of Wolbach and the town of Wolbach.
She also enjoyed word-find puzzles, playing cards and writing letters.
Judy is survived by her brothers & sisters-in-law, Pat & Jan Steenson, Mike & Patsy Steenson, John & Diane Steenson and Tom & Susan Steenson, her sisters & brothers-in-law, JoAnn Dubas, Margie Dubas, Betsy & Dan Dubas, Linda & Jack Bailey, Penny & Gerry Small and Mary Reab; numerous nieces & nephews; and very special friends, Nancy Glasgow & Debbie Herbel.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
