Judy A. Lauritsen, 75, of Dannebrog died Thursday, January 08, 2015 at Brookefield Park in St. Paul.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Faith Lutheran-Nysted St. Peder's Church at Nysted. The Reverend Robert Carlson, Jr. will officiate.
There will be no visitation held, Judy was cremated.
Inurnment will be held at Oakridge Cemetery in Dannebrog.
Jacobsen-Greenway Funeral Home in St. Paul is in charge of the arrangements.
Memorials are suggested to the Faith Lutheran - Nysted St. Peder's Church in Nysted.
Judy was born October 24, 1939 to Sam and Rena (White) Christensen in Hall County, Nebraska.
She grew up in Dannebrog and attended school.
Judy worked many different jobs in Grand Island.
She enjoyed bowling, playing cards, puzzles and Saturday potluck dinners at the Danish Baker and Tuesday night hamburgers in Dannebrog.
Judy was a member of the Faith Lutheran - Nysted St. Peder's Church in Nysted.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Arlan "Chuck" & Lois Lauritsen of Omaha; two daughters & sons-in-law, Natalie & Corey Van Winkle of Cairo and LaVon & Al Schmitt of Dannebrog; eight grandchildren and spouses, Mike & Amy, Becky & Derek, Michelle, Rachel, Randi & Brad, Josh & Brooke and Tanner; four great grandchildren and one on the way; one sister, Sharon Hahn of Kansas; and her beloved dog, Sophie.
Judy is preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Betty, Lizzie and Toni.
