Judy D. Huggins

Judy D. Huggins, daughter of Francis Stanley and Betty Jean (Peterson) Pedersen, was born April 22, 1945 in Palmer. She entered into rest on Friday, September 11, 2015 at Brookefield Park in St. Paul at the age of 70 years.
Judy was raised in Palmer. She attended St. Paul High School and then Palmer High School where she graduated in 1963.
She was united in marriage to Duane Huggins on May 5, 1964 in Pierre, SD.
Judy moved with Duane as he worked on road construction projects on the Interstate. While the couple lived in Omaha, Judy was an assistant manager for Woolworths before working in retail jewelry sales called Afterthoughts.
Before moving to Elba in 1998, the couple lived the previous 30 years in Omaha.
Judy was active in mapping cemeteries in the Elba area.
Judy enjoyed reading, sewing, going to casinos and traveling.
Survivors include her husband, Duane of Elba; a step-daughter, Teena Krueger and her husband, Bill of Valentine; two grandsons; and a brother and sister-in-law, Allen and Patricia Pedersen of Osceola.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
