Jeannette G. (Scott) Harvey

Jeannette G. Harvey, 88 of St. Paul, died on Sunday, October 17, 2021 at Brookefield Park in St. Paul.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, October 22, 2021 at the United Methodist Church in St. Paul.  Interment will be in the Elmwood Cemetery in St. Paul.  Pastor Susan Murithi will be officiating.

Visitation will be from 5-7 P.M. on Thursday at Jacobsen-Greenway-Dietz Funeral Home in St. Paul.  Memorials are suggested to the family to be designated at a later date.

Jeannette was born on November 11, 1932 in St. Paul, Nebraska to Lynn and Oma (Stone) Scott.  She grew up on a farm outside of St. Paul where she first attended a small country grade school about a half of a mile from her home on Hwy. 92.  Then, she went to high school in St. Paul where she graduated in 1951.  Jeannette was united in marriage to William D. Harvey on January 22, 1953 in St. Paul.  The couple made their home in St. Paul. They enjoyed the outdoors, especially the “big tree” Bill and Jeannette planted in front of their house.

Jeannette was a member of the United Methodist Church in St. Paul and  the St. Paul American Legion Auxiliary. She loved animals, especially her favorite cat, Skitty, and favorite dog, Inky.  Jeannette and her sisters enjoyed making music and singing together. They always looked forward to going dancing on Sunday nights.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son and daughter-in-law, Glen and Ronni Harvey of Aurora; daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy and Gary Ambrose of Palmer, Susann Urbanski of St. Paul, Barb and Chad Empfield of Arizona; her identical twin sister, Jean Bruntz of St. Paul; sisters-in-law, Elaine Harvey of St. Paul, Janet Harvey of Grand Island, Vivian Salak of Grand Island, Donna Dobish of St. Paul;  brother-in-law, Don Harvey of Grand Island; 9 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Jeannette was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Harvey; brother, Bill Scott; son-in-law, Russ Urbanski; sister-in-law and brothers-in-law, Dorothy and Ted Sazama, Daryl Harvey, Russ Harvey, Fred Salak, Dick Dobish; and her cousin raised like a sister, Jan Skaggs.
