Jean was born August 12, 1937 in Loup City, Nebraska to Frank and Christine (Delecki) Rozmiarek.

She grew up on the family farm northwest of Farwell. She attended District 24 grade school and graduated from Farwell High School. After high school she took summer and night classes at Kearney State College to become a teacher. She went onto pursue her Masters Degree in Education.

Jean taught at District 24, District 47, southwest of Farwell; District 22, north of Ashton; Farwell Public School and St. Paul Elementary School, where she retired in May of 1997, after 42 years of teaching.

She was a faithful member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in St. Paul, CCW, and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit #119 of St. Paul for 35 years. She was a former member of the Delta Kappa Gamma Teachers Sorority.

Her quick wit and humor will be missed along with her dedication to her church and faith. She loved teaching and could remember each and every student she taught in her 42 years of teaching. In Jean's earlier years she enjoyed bowling. She had a huge collection of Cherish Teddy's and the collection of the teddy bears stopped when she found no more room in her house for them. Jean also loved to crochet and donated many afghan's to the church bazaar and spent time solving many crossword puzzles.

She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.

Jean is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Franklin & Elaine Rozmiarek of St. Paul; nieces, Linda & Ron Guenin & family, Carol Rasmussen & family, Denise & Brad Bauer & family; nephews, Ken & Rosali Rozmiarek & family, Dan & Brenda Rozmiarek & family, Steve & Kathy Rozmiarek & family, Alan & Joleen Lewandowski & family and Deacon Randy Lewandowski; numerous great nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, a sister Mary Ann Rozmiarek and one brother & sister-in-law, Raymond & Rose Rozmiarek.
