Jean Ann (Taylor) Paxton

Jean A. (Taylor) Paxton, 69, formerly of Palmer, passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at Brookefield Park in St. Paul.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, June 23, 2023, at the Restoration Church, in Palmer.  Visitation will be one hour prior to services.  Pastor Joe Cissell will officiate.  Greenway-Dietz Funeral Home in Palmer is assisting the family.  Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.

Jean was born February 17, 1954, to Dale and Viola (LeMasters) Taylor in Palmer, NE.  She was one of eight siblings.  She graduated from Palmer High School in 1972.

She was united to Robert James Paxton on June 23, 1973, and to this union they had five sons and one daughter.  She worked at Coolidge Center in Palmer for several years until it closed, she worked at the café in Palmer and Mosaic in Grand Island.

Jean was the biggest fan of everything Elvis.  She loved spending time with her sons, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  Her hobbies included camping, riding 4-wheelers, playing rummy, and watching westerns.  Jean was loved by everyone who met her.  Her sense of humor and spirit will be greatly missed.  She always put everyone above her own needs!

She is survived by her four sons and daughters-in-law, Dale and Christina Paxton of Palmer, James and Melissa Paxton, Jesse Paxton, and Jeremy and Cassi Paxton all of St. Paul; grandchildren, Kristi and Jared Merchant , Brittany and Timothy Holtz, Breanna, Dale Jr., Mariah, Sydney, Dawson, Talyr, Kadynce and Riley Paxton; great-grandchildren, Layken, Chloe and Gabe; siblings, Roger Taylor, Gary Taylor, Loyd Taylor, Nancy Bennett, and Debra Jardine.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dale and Viola Taylor; husband, Robert; son, Jeffrey Lee; daughter, Bobbie Jean; brother, Howard Taylor; and sister, Mary Kraft.
