Jean D. Cox, 87, of Costa Mesa, CA died, Friday, November 5, 2010 in Costa Mesa.
A visitation will be held from 1- 3 p.m., Sunday at Greenway Funeral Home in Palmer. Burial will be held on Sunday at 3:00 p.m. in Rose Hill Cemetery at Palmer, Nebraska. The Reverend Martin Leeper will officiate.

Jean was born May 9, 1923 to Ross and Edith Cox in Central City, Nebraska.
She attended school at Palmer, Nebraska. She graduated with high honors in 1940.
Jean moved to California and worked as a flight attendant during her early years in California. She continued to live her life in the Orange County are until her death.
She was a member and was very involved in the Christian Science Church.
She is loved by family, many treasured friends and all of those who knew her.
Survivors include cousins, Wayne Swadley of Grand Island, Tom Shull of Central City, and Maxine Grace of St. Laurence, SD.
She is preceded in death by her parents Ross and Edith Cox and two brothers Cameron Cox and Taylor (Shorty) Cox.
