Jason W. Kock, 29, of St. Paul died Friday, August 17, 2012 at his home in St. Paul.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday at Jacobsen-Greenway Funeral Home in St. Paul. The Reverend Ralph Steffensmeyer will officiate. Inurnment will be held at 2:00 p.m. in the Belgrade Cemetery. A time to greet the family and sign Jason's memorial book will be held on Tuesday, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to the family's choice.
Mr. Kock was born May 8, 1983 in St. Paul to Wayne and Deborah (Pavlik) Kock.
Jason received his early education in the Schuyler and Palmer Schools and in Albion High School. He then lived in Columbus, David City and then Laurel where he worked at Great Dane Trailers. He then moved to Wakefield for a year working at Waldbaums.
He lived in Cedar Rapids for a short time before moving to St. Paul in 2009. He worked for Jorgensen Electric for a year and then began working for Advanced Climate Control in December 2011 as an apprentice.
He enjoyed his work and was working towards his journeymen qualification.
Jason loved to fish, camp, watch professional wrestling, airplanes and all types of animals. He loved his children and nieces. He liked athletics, taking part in soccer, baseball, football and wresting.
He was baptized and confirmed in the United Methodist Church in Palmer.
Survivors include his parents, Wayne and Deb Kock of Cedar Rapids; his children, Torijean of Central City, Brooklynn and Rieleigh of Hinesville, GA and Dean of St. Paul; a special friend, Tish Holtz of St. Paul; maternal grandmother, Margene Pavlik of St. Paul; three brothers, Jonathan Kock and his wife Emily and their children, Izabella, Stella, Gabriella and Ambriella of Belden, NE, Justin Kock of Cedar Rapids and Joshua and his fiancé©e Tonya Balcom and their daughter Alexxis of Norfolk.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Larry Pavlik; paternal grandparents, LaVern and Judy Kock and a cousin, Zachary Pavlik.
