Jane A. Falk

Jane Falk, 63, of Grand Island died Friday, October 4, 2013 at St. Francis Medical Center in Grand Island.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Monday at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in St. Paul. The Reverend Carolyn Hellerich will officiate.

Interment will be held in Elmwood Cemetery in St. Paul.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., Sunday at Jacobsen-Greenway Funeral Home in St. Paul.

Memorials are suggested to St. Mark's Lutheran Church in St. Paul.

Jane was born December 10, 1949 at St. Paul, Nebraska to Harry and Anna (Johnson) Wohlers.

She attended school at St. Paul School and graduated in 1968.

She was united in marriage to Galen Falk in 1973 at Rapid City, South Dakota.

She worked for the St. Paul Public Schools as cook and worked her way up to Head Cook at the school. She worked there for over 20 years.

In 1994, the couple moved to Grand Island, where she worked for Newell Elementary school as a cook. She also worked in Grand Island as a dietary assistant.

The couple retired and moved to Colorado, where they lived for six years until Galen's health failed then they moved back to Grand Island.

She loved her time spent with her kids and grandchildren. She also enjoyed quilting, cooking and watching cooking shows, walking & hiking and camping, and shopping.

She was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in St. Paul and a member of the Carl Mogensen American Legion Auxiliary Unit 119 of St. Paul.

Jane is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Trenton Falk of Grand Island and Travis & Megin Falk of Omaha; one daughter, Kelly Dankert of Grand Island; three grandchildren, Paige Dankert, Berkeley Falk and Britton Falk; two brothers, Vance Wohlers of St. Paul and Doyle Wohlers of Oregon; two sisters, Joan Culpepper of Palmetto, FL and Ardys Kirby of Litchfield Park, AZ.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Galen Falk, a son-in-law, John Dankert, infant sister, a brother, and a sister, Nonie Meston.
