James L. Voigt, 82 of St. Paul died Friday, January 13, 2012 at his home in St. Paul.
Services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Sunday January 22, 2012 at the United Methodist Church in St. Paul, 1320 Baxter Street.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to the Davenport Community Center, the St. Paul Public Library or to the church of your choice.
Jim was born September 14, 1929 on the family farm south of Davenport, Nebraska to John L. and Cleo L. (Heller) Voigt.
He was united in marriage to Martha Anne Eriksen on January 29, 1950 at Grace Presbyterian Church in Council Bluffs, IA.
Jim is survived by his wife, his children, Susan Voigt of Roswell, NM, Steve & Barb Voigt of Kearney, Doug & Darla Voigt of St. Paul; his grandchildren Siobhan Erskine-Voigt and great grandson Mathew Pierce of Holland, MI, Steve & Kesley (Voigt) Beckman of Ithaca, NY Katelyn Voigt of Lincoln, Jon & Casie (Voigt) Olsen and great granddaughter Kaydence of Grand Island, Kirsten Voigt of Kearney, Erika Voigt of Kearney; sisters-in-law, Jane Voigt of Tucson, AZ and Ele & husband Bob Sellers of Redmond, WA.
He is preceded in death by his parents, a son Donn, a granddaughter Sara Jane Voigt and a brother Bob Voigt.
