Helen Louise (Hunt) Snow, 65, of St. Paul died Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at Howard County medical Center in St. Paul.
A Celebration of Life memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday at the First Presbyterian Church in St. Paul. The Reverend Kati Salmons will officiate. Inurnment will be held in Elmwood Cemetery in St. Paul. The family will receive family and friends from 4:30 - 6:00 p.m., Friday at the church.
Jacobsen-Greenway Funeral Home in St. Paul is in charge of the arrangements.
Memorials are suggested to the family's choice.
Helen was born November 19, 1946 to Elvis Sidney and Margaret Madgene (Phillips) Hunt in Longview, Texas.
She was a graduate of Ingelside, Texas high school and attended East Texas State University.
Helen was employed by Padre Island National Seashore.
She was united in marriage to James Harold Snow on April 4, 1970 in Ingelside, Texas.
Helen was a loving mother and homemaker raising four children while supporting Jim's career with the FAA. The family moved nine times as the children were growing before settling in Sacramento, CA in 1989.
After retiring in 2002, the couple relocated to St. Paul, NE where they enjoyed spending time with family and camping with two Winnebago camping clubs.
Helen was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in St. Paul, a member of the Howard County Historical Society, treasurer of St. Paul Library Foundation, a member of the Chapter AP PEO, Treasurer Big Red Winnies, member of Cornhusker Winnie Tascas, Beta Sigma Phi and the Nebraska Rod & Custom Association.
She enjoyed reading and searching for pieces of her Depression glass collection at antique stores.
Helen is survived by her husband Jim of St. Paul; four children and eight grandchildren, Keri & Mitch and their children, Daelin, Madelyn & Hayden Towne of Lowry City, MO, Kyle & Kim and their children, Hunter, Conner & Abbigail Snow of Citrus Heights, CA, Kent & Rhianne and their children, Tyler & James Snow of Citrus Heights, CA and Kelly Snow of Lincoln, NE; one brother Paul Melton Hunt of Killeen, TX.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Tracy Wayne Hunt.
