Euveda M. Freeland Kozak Wilson

June 24, 1925 — January 4, 2018

Euveda M. Wilson, 92 of St Paul, died Thursday, January 04, 2018 at Brookefield Park Nursing Home in St. Paul.

Services will be 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at the United Methodist Church in St. Paul.  The Rev. Momo Larmeno will officiate.  Burial will be at the Elmwood Cemetery in St. Paul.  Family will greet friends 1 hour prior to services at the church.  Memorials are suggested to the family to be designated at a later date.  Jacobsen-Greenway Funeral Home in St. Paul is assisting the family.

Euveda was born on June 24, 1925 in Neligh, NE to Louie and Gladys (Verplank) Freeland.  She was raised in Nance and Merrick Counties and attended Sunflower School.

She married Joseph Kozak in 1944.  She was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic Church in Fullerton when she married Joseph.  To this union they were blessed with 3 children, Edward, Mildred, and Frank.  They were raised 12 miles north of Palmer.  They moved from the farm in 1969 to St. Paul.  Joseph passed away in 1970.

Following Joseph’s death, Euveda moved to Grand Island with her 2 sons. She met and married Lyle Wilson in 1972.  They resided in several different locations.  Lyle died in 1992.  She moved back to St. Paul in 1992.  She was a member of the United Methodist Church in St. Paul and the Fun & Learn Extension Club.   She enjoyed farm life, gardening, canning, and being with her family.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter and son-in-law, Mildred “Millie” & Mark Simcox of Wolbach; granddaughters, Valerie (Chuck) Randall of Gretna, Jessica (Dave) Prichard of Omaha; great-grandsons, Hunter Randall & Grayson Randall of Gretna; sisters, Wanda (Fred) Rother of Wolbach, Betty Beck of St. Paul, Zella Lubken of St. Paul, Mabel Burkhardt of St. Paul, Minnie Rasmussen of Sun City, AZ, Ruby (Richard) Henderson of Hastings, & Lois (Norman) Petersen of Grand Island; several nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; sons, Edward & Frank; 1 grandson, Jeffrey; 2 sisters; 2 brothers; & 4 brothers-in-law.
