Ervin James Griffin

Ervin James Griffin, 74 of St. Paul, died Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at his home in St. Paul.

Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday,  August 13, 2018 at Jacobsen-Greenway Funeral Home in St. Paul. Reverend Daniel Bear will officiate.  Interment will be in the Riverside Cemetery in Gibbon.

Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 pm on Sunday at the funeral home.  Memorials are suggested to the family’s choice to be designated at a later date.

Ervin was born on February 15, 1944 in Shelton, Nebraska to Charles F. Griffin, Sr. & Anna R. (Standley) Griffin.  Ervin married Gloria Kleven on July 23, 1966.  The couple had 2 children, Deanne & Jerry.  The couple later divorced.

Ervin was a trucker, farmer, welder, and also worked construction.  He enjoyed working on different things and tinkering with anything he could take apart.  He had a good and full life until he was challenged with health problems.

He was the brother of Norma of Glenville, NE, Rose of Missouri, Johnny of Washington State, Karen of Stanton, NE, Wilson of Lincoln, NE, Danny of Elba, NE, Nyla Gay of St. Paul, NE.  He was an uncle, great-uncle, & great-great uncle to many nieces & nephews.

Ervin was preceded in death by his parents; 1 brother, Charles; 2 sisters, Ellena and Mary Jane; 2 brothers-in-law, Gayle Schlegel and LeRoy Potter.
