Ernest "Budd" Wood

Ernest "Budd" Wood, Jr, 80, of St. Paul died Sunday, March 6, 2011 at his residence in St. Paul.
Graveside services are scheduled for June 24, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the Merna Cemetery in Merna. Cremation for Mr. Wood has taken place.
Jacobsen-Greenway Funeral Home in St. Paul is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Wood was born July 23, 1930 in Merna, NE.
He was the youngest of ten children born to E.B. and Mary Eliza (Moore) Wood. He grew up in Dale Valley, northwest of Merna attending school at Dale and in Merna.
He was united in marriage to Loretta Coffman on March 31, 1952. Budd lived and worked in a number of central Nebraska communities throughout his lifetime, making friends where he went. In 1987 he married Betty Nason in Grand Island.
He is survived by his son, Robert E. Wood and his wife Joyce, of Nashville, TN; a daughter, Barbara Reyer and her husband, Ronnie of Murfreesboro, TN; four grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Donald, Elwyn, Francis and Dallas; and five sisters, Ione Rosse, Eloise Seeger, Veryle Bonney, Grace Graf, and Halcyon Wood.
Memorials to the family may be sent in care of Jacobsen-Greenway Funeral Home in St. Paul.
