Elizabeth Kaltenbach, 75, of St. Paul died Thursday, December 19, 2013 at Bergan Mercy Hospital in Omaha.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday at Grace Baptist Church in St. Paul.
There will be not be any visitation, Mrs. Kaltenbach was cremated.
Inurnment will be held in Elmwood Cemetery in St. Paul.
Memorials are suggested to Grace Baptist Church.
Jacobsen-Greenway Funeral Home in St. Paul is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Kaltenbach was born January 2, 1938 in Jansen, NE to Abe and Elizabeth (Friesen) Friesen.
She was raised in Jansen. Elizabeth graduated from Steele City High School.
While working at the Sunshine Bible Academy in Miller, SD she met her best friend and husband Robert. They were married on July 5, 1964 in Jansen, NE.
She taught in a variety of schools. While teaching she earned her Master's Degree from the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
Elizabeth was the administrator at St. Libory schools for many years.
After her retirement, she continued to be a substitute teacher.
She enjoyed cross stitching, crocheting, putting together puzzles, and canning. Elizabeth liked to help other people with their needs.
She was a member of Grace Baptist Church in St. Paul.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, David and Cherie Kaltenbach of Plano, TX; a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and David Saiz of Omaha; three grandchildren, Jared Saiz and Rebekah and Philip Kaltenbach; and three sisters, Bertha Friesen of Fairbury, Esther Knox of Canon City, CO and Verna Dieterich and her husband, John of San Antonio.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert on January 9, 2008; and a sister, Lois Friesen.
