Edna M. Feddersen

Edna M. Feddesen, 93, of St. Paul died Wednesday, December 19, 2007 at Heritage Living Center in St. Paul.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Dannebrog. The Reverend Robert Carlson, Jr. will officiate. Interment will be in the Nysted Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, from 4 - 7 p.m. at Jacobsen-Greenway Funeral Home in St. Paul. Memorials are suggested to the family's choice.
Mrs. Feddersen was born September 7, 1914 on the family farm west of Palmer to Richard B. and Wilhelmia (Kruse) Burkhardt, Sr.
Edna was baptized and confirmed in St. John's Lutheran Church in Palmer. She attended school at rural school District #63 between Palmer and St. Paul. Edna then worked as a waitress and then at the Cornhusker Army Ammunition Plant in Grand Island.
Edna was united in marriage to Ernest Feddersen on October 30, 1949 in Grand Island.
The couple lived and farmed in the Dannebrog area from 1949 to 1970. In 1970, they retired and moved to Nysted. In July 1983, they moved to Chapman. Ernest died August 8, 1993. Edna continued to live in Chapman until August 1999 when she moved to Parkside Plaza in St. Paul. She moved to Heritage Living Center in December 2006.
Edna enjoyed crocheting, gardening, flowers, baking and especially being with her grandchildren.
She was a past member of the Nysted Ladies Aid.
Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Charlene Morgan and her husband Bill of St. Paul; three grandchildren, Sonya Keopanya of Grand Island, Misty Lauer and her husband Phillip of Lincoln and Shanean Morgan of St. Paul; and three great-grandchildren, Chance and Aysha Keopanya and Adrian Lauer; and a sister-in-law, Rose Ann Burkhardt of Palmer.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ernest; a son, Daniel Feddersen on June 10, 1990; seven brothers, Hugo, Fredrick, Arthur, Harry, Otto, Bruno and Richard Burkhardt and two sisters, Clara Eckstrom and Meta Lawrence.
