Eda Mae "Edie" Jensen, 83, of Norfolk died Monday, July 14, 2014 at Golden Living Center in Norfolk, Nebraska.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday at Jacobsen-Greenway Funeral Home in St. Paul. The Reverend Sheri Lodel will officiate. Burial will be held at Oakridge Cemetery in Dannebrog.
A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Friday at the funeral home.
An additional remembrance visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Saturday at the Golden Living Center in Norfolk.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
Eda Mae was born August 2, 1930 at Dannevirke, Nebraska to Chris & Edith (Jensen) Nielsen.
She graduated from Dannebrog High School in 1948.
Eda Mae was united in marriage to Carroll R. Jensen on June 5, 1950 in Lincoln, Nebraska.
She was a homemaker and volunteer giving generously of her time to the PTA, local blood bank and soup kitchen and to the Elkhorn Valley Museum. Eda Mae enjoyed playing bridge and bingo. She was employed by Hy-Vee in Norfolk for numerous years.
Eda Mae is survived by son & daughter-in-law, Greg and Janet of Virginia; a daughter-in-law, Dawn Jensen of Texas; a daughter & son-in-law, Carrie &Malek Jensen-Badaa of California; brother Chris Nielsen of Colorado; a granddaughter, Natasha Badaa of Oregon; nieces, nephews; and other extended family members.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Carroll and one son William Jensen.
