Earl Kaiser, 99, of St. Paul died June 15, 2012 at Matelyn Retirement Home in St. Paul, Nebraska.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in St. Paul. The Reverend Ray Kosmicki will officiate. Interment will be held in St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery near Farwell, Nebraska. Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., Monday at the church with a wake service held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday at the church.
Jacobsen-Greenway Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to The St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery Fund or to the Louis Pawloski Center in Farwell.
Earl was born May 10, 1913 on a farm southwest of Farwell, Nebraska to Herman John and Nellie Jane (Irvine) Kaiser.
Earl's father was killed in a car/train accident when Earl was 3 years old. He attended Districts 38, 10 and St. Anthony's Catholic School through the 8th grade. His memories of growing up included visits he had with his Grandmother Sarah Irvine and Aunts Jenny, Ester and Mary Irvine and Uncles Jim & John Irvine. Eventually his mother married Leo Jarosz. After his mother's death in 1939, Earl moved from the family farm and began farming on his own.
He met Caroline Ksiazek, a school teacher at District 10. The couple was united in marriage on June 1, 1941 in Farwell, Nebraska. To this, union two children were born, Sally Kaiser and Tom Kaiser.
Caroline died April 13, 1980.
Earl met Clara Stanczyk and they were married on July 11, 1981 at St. Paul, Nebraska. The couple resided in her home in St. Paul until February 2004, when they both moved into Matelyn. Clara died on April 17, 2006.
He was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in St. Paul.
Earl especially enjoyed farming, raising cattle and attending farm sales and cattle sales. He was an avid baseball fan and Nebraska football fan and was always ready to play a game of cards.
He is survived by his son & daughter-in-law, Tom & Ardie (Johansen) Kaiser of Farwell, Nebraska and a daughter Sally Kaiser of Omaha, Nebraska; three grandchildren, Troy Kaiser (Chellsey) of Omaha, Stacie Anzures (Joe) of Aurora, CO and Loran Kaiser (Alejandra) of Kearney; five great grandchildren, Breckon Ratkovec, Nicholas & William Anzures, Ella & Katelynn Kaiser; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Earl is also survived by Clara's immediate family Judene Jakubowski, Jim (Delores) Stanczyk, Danny (Connie) Stanczyk, Rozann (Dennis) Hendrickson and Leon Stanczyk and their families.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister Buelah Hassett.
