Doris "Dodie" Rasmussen, 95, of Wahoo formerly of St. Paul died Friday, January 27, 2012 at South Haven Nursing Home in Wahoo, Nebraska.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday at Jacobsen-Greenway Funeral Home in St. Paul. Words of comfort will be given by Ellen Campbell. Burial will be held in Elmwood Cemetery in St. Paul. Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.

Doris was born May 12, 1916 at Cushing, Nebraska to Frank & Frances (Brezina) Bower.
She grew up in St. Paul and graduated high school in 1934, she then attended Omaha School of Beauty and graduated after only 6 months.
Doris owned a beauty shop in St. Paul for 5 years.
She was united in marriage to Henry (Hank) Erik Rasmussen in 1940 in Logan, Iowa.
The couple continued to live in St. Paul and raised their two daughters, Francie & Connie.
After Hank's death in 1985, Doris moved to Grand Island in 1987. She later moved to Mead to be closer to family.
Doris used to love to socialize with her friends, play cards and knit until her eyes and hands just wouldn't cooperate well enough.
She is survived by daughters & son-in-law, Francie & Ken Ostermeier of Lampasas, TX and Connie Schwieger of Mead; four grandchildren and their spouses, Bobbie & Lee Feldhaus, Michael & Alicia Ostermeier, Rick & Kris Schwieger, and Lisa & Scott Flash; seven great grandchildren, Eric & Ryan Schwieger, Jacob Feldhaus, Andrew & Spencer Ostermeier, and Mitch & Josh Flash.
Doris is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Hank and a sister, Eleanor Svoboda.
