Doris Lingford Ferguson Lloyd, 86, of Pasadena, CA died April 27, 2010 in the Pasadena Highlands Retirement Home in Pasadena, Ca.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday at Elmwood Cemetery in St. Paul. Roger Grim will officiate. There will not be any visitation.
Jacobsen-Greenway Funeral Home in St. Paul is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Lloyd was born in Dannebrog, NE on November 22, 1923. She was the youngest child of Harry and Alta Lingford of St. Paul, Nebraska. After her graduation from St. Paul High School, she attended Eastern Nazarene College, where she received her teaching credential. She taught school briefly in Wahoo, NE and later moved to Glendale, California where she taught English at Crescenta Valley High School for many years. After her retirement, she moved to Pasadena, CA. where she was living at the time of her passing.
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Fern Helser Lingford of Glendale, her long-time companion, Wilson Peters, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Eugene, her sisters Ellen and Marion, and her two husbands, Earl Ferguson and Dave Lloyd.
