Delores J. Fisher, 74, of Central City formerly of Grand Island died Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at Central City Care Center.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m., Friday at Jacobsen-Greenway Funeral Home in St. Paul. The Reverend Martha Voigt will officiate. Visitation will be held 8:30-10:30 a.m., Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be held in Elmwood Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the donor's choice or to the Trinity Methodist Church in Grand Island.
Delores was born February 21, 1936 at Elba to Henry & Lillian (Wall) Fisher.
She attended school at Elba and St. Paul High School.
As a child growing up on the family farm, she worked farm chores; picking eggs, feeding the ducks and geese, and helped separate cream and milk. She cleaned the chicken house, picked corn and even going to the highway to get the mail.
She enjoyed music and keeping up on current news events by listening to her radio and television, especially Channel 10/11.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Grand Island and with her mother a member of Roberta Rice and Akita Club.
Survivors include her sister-in-law, Yvonne (Bonnie) Fisher of Grand Island; nieces Marsha Conway Stratman of Grand Island, Karen Conway Elizalde of Westminster, CO, Linda Conway of Grand Island; nephews, David M Fisher of Grand Island and Scott Worth of Potter, NE; Cousins Marjorie (Tom) Egan of Minnesota, George (Mary) Wall of Iowa and Dr. Richard (Mary) Wall of Colorado; and very special friends and distant cousins George & Marilyn Wall of St. Paul.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Dorothy Conway and Marilyn Worth; and a brother, Henry David Fisher.
Delores was well taken care of by the staff at Central City Care Center and we are forever grateful to them.
