Connie M. (Harvey) Fishell

Connie M. Fishell, 77 of Grand Island, died on February 25, 2022 at the Good Samaritan Society – Grand Island Village.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at Jacobsen-Greenway-Dietz Funeral Home in St. Paul.  Father Richard Piontkowski will be presiding.  Interment will be in the O’Connor Cemetery in Greeley.  Memorials are suggested to the family to be designated at a later date.

Visitation will be from 4-7 P.M. on Monday, February 28, 2022 at Jacobsen-Greenway-Dietz Funeral Home in St. Paul.  A Rosary will follow at 7:00 P.M. following the visitation at the funeral home.

Connie was born on September 5, 1944 in St. Paul to Edgar and Anna (Foster) Harvey.  She grew up on a farm near O’Connor and graduated in 1962 from Sacred Heart High School in Greeley.  She was united in marriage to Larry Fishell on March 4, 1966 in Omaha.  She was employed with Monfort/Swift & Company in Grand Island.

Connie enjoyed baking, traveling and watching her family bowl.  She loved Husker Football.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Larry of Grand Island; sons and daughter-in-law, Richard & Mary Pat Fishell of St. Paul; Terry Fishell of Grand Island; daughter & son-in-law, Janet & Jason Logue of Aurora; sisters and brothers-in-law, LouAnn Haase of Lincoln, Debra & Al Zobel of Ashland, Marty & Gary Medbery of Central City; sisters-in-law, Vicki Harvey of Greeley and Patty Harvey of Lincoln; grandchildren, Brian Spanjer (Amber), Josh Spanjer (Abby), Cody Fishell, Briana Rehder, Deanna Fishell, Elizabeth (James) Gray, and Sarah Logue; and 6 great-grandchildren.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Larry Harvey, Dennis Harvey, John Harvey, and Tom Harvey; brother-in-law, Jerry Haase.
